CAMPING & ACCOMMODATION

Camping De Lakens

Surfana Festival is held at the beautiful Camping De Lakens, nestled in the dunes of Kennemerduinen National Park.Your stay is part of the adventure, and with several camping options available, you can choose the setup that suits your festival style best. Whether you’re pitching a tent, rolling in with your campervan, or treating yourself to a luxurious glamping experience, we’ve got the perfect setup for you.

Pitch your tent

The classic Surfana experience! With a full weekend ticket, you’ll have a spot to pitch your tent at Camping De Lakens, surrounded by the beauty of the Kennemerduinen National Park. Each camping spot allows for one tent, up to 3.5m² per person—enough space to make it cozy and fun. Bring your gear, your best festival outfit, and get ready for a weekend to remember!

Campervan

If you love the comfort of van life, Surfana Festival has you covered! With a full weekend ticket and a campervan ticket, you can roll into the festival with your home on wheels. Just remember:

Campervan tickets are for the vehicle only—everyone staying in the camper must also have a weekend ticket.

Only self-driving vehicles with at least one bed are allowed (no caravans or unmodified cars).

Pop-up roof tents attached to vans are welcome.

TRAVELLING TO SURFANA FESTIVAL

Camping De Lakens
Surfana Festival takes place at Camping De Lakens, Zeeweg 60, 2051 EC, Overveen. Getting there is part of the fun, and there are plenty of ways to make your journey smooth and eco-friendly.

Public Transport

Bike Enjoy a scenic ride through the dunes! It’s just 25 minutes from Haarlem and 10 minutes from Zandvoort. Bring your own bike or rent one and park it at the campsite. Public Transport Take the train to Haarlem or Zandvoort and hop on bus #81, which stops right at the campsite entrance. Simple and sustainable!

(Shared) Cars & Scooters

Car & Car Sharing There’s no parking on-site, but you can get dropped off at the Kiss & Ride. Consider car sharing via BlaBlaCar, Greenwheels, or MyWheels to meet new people and travel greener. Scooter For a fun alternative, rent a Felix scooter and park it at the boulevard near the beach.

  • What is Surfana Festival?

    Surfana started as a surf school in Zandvoort but quickly grew into a collective.

     

    Our philosophy is to live happily, fully enjoy life, and share this lifestyle with others. We bring this to life during Surfana Festival. A weekend full of love and passion for the good life, celebrating our way of living and inspiring others to choose a life based on happiness.

  • When is Surfana Festival?

    Surfana Festival 2025 will take place on September 12, 13, and 14!

     

    For those living nearby or with a camping ticket, there’s a pre-party on Thursday evening, September 11, to kick off the festival weekend in style!

  • Where is Surfana Festival?

    Surfana Festival takes place at Camping De Lakens, Zeeweg 60, 2051 EC, Overveen. Right in the dunes, close to the sea!

  • What are the check-in times for the festival campsite?

    • Thursday: between 4:00 PM & 9:00 PM
    • Friday: between 10:00 AM & 9:00 PM
    • Saturday: between 9:00 AM & 12:00 AM
    • Sunday: between 9:00 AM & 9:00 PM
  • Is Surfana Festival accessible for people with disabilities?

    While the festival site is located in the dunes with uneven terrain, it remains manageable for wheelchair users to access and view the stages from dedicated platforms.

     

    Additionally, the surroundings offer quiet spaces if needed.

     

    At this stage, we are unfortunately unable to provide sign language interpretation for music performances.

  • Can I park during the festival?

    Unfortunately not. There is no parking available at Surfana Festival.

     

    You can easily reach us by public transport. Buses run as usual during the festival and stop right in front of us!

     

    Coming from outside the Netherlands? We have a partnership with Choo-Choo Train for affordable travel to Surfana Festival!

     

    You may drop off your friends & bags at our kiss-and-ride outside the festival check-in.

     

    There are public parking areas nearby the festival, stay tuned for an up to date list.

  • What are the festival check-in times?

    The reception opening hours are:
       
    • Thursday: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
    • Friday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
    • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
    • Sunday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
  • What type of vehicle is the campervan ticket valid for?

    Campervan tickets are only valid for campervans (vehicles that are not towed or carried by another vehicle).

     

    A campervan is not a caravan or a car without a basic camping setup like a bed. Rooftop tents attached to the top of a vehicle are welcome.

  • Can I arrive earlier and/or stay longer outside of the festival dates?

    The campsite is open for festival visitors with a fullweekend ticket from Thursday at 4:00 PM until Monday at 10:00 AM. All ticket holders must leave their camping spot by then.

  • Can I bring my own food and drinks to the festival?

    With a weekend ticket, you can bring your own food and drinks to consume at your tent or campervan.

     

    Cooking is only allowed on small camping gas stoves (no open fires or barbecues). Please don't bring your own food into the festival grounds, where you'll find plenty of food and drinks available.

  • Can I reserve a camper spot?

    During the festival, spots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. If you want to share a spot with your friends or family, make sure to arrive together so you can be placed close to each other.

  • Can I surf during the Festival?

    You can rent Surfboards at Mifune. We rent them out in a first come, first serve basis for a small fee and we also offer surf lessons!

  • How many shifts do I need to work as a volunteer?

    As a volunteer, you will be scheduled for approximately two six-hour shifts, depending on your availability and the shifts that need to be covered.

  • When will the program be announced?

    We announce our artists and the full program through social media. The official program, including workshops, will be released in the summer.
